After providing counselling services for over 20 years Lori Gill, founder of ATTCH, has observed a consistent need for attachment and trauma-focused therapy. Trauma impacts all areas, and often underlies addictions, mental health, and other adaptations.
ATTCH was the first integrative trauma specific treatment centre of its kind in Canada. Since opening in 2013 the model used at ATTCH has been sought after by professionals, organizations and communities due to the lasting gains observed with our Integrative Trauma and Attachment Treatment Model (ITATM) ®. In addition to providing clinical services ATTCH specializes in training other therapists and organizations to become certified trauma specialists or certified trauma informed organizations using our Integrative Trauma and Attachment Treatment Model (ITATM) ®. This contributes to our vision of creating a more trauma-informed society.
The Attachment and Trauma Treatment Centre for Healing (ATTCH) provides quality trauma and attachment training (clinical services now provided through Lori Gill Psychotherapy and ATTCH Niagara).
Additionally ATTCH also provides clinical supervision, consultation, and training to help organizations implement evidence-based trauma-informed treatment and prevent compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma.
Healing Life's Hurts...
Purpose: The purpose of the Attachment and Trauma Treatment Centre for Healing (ATTCH) is to increase awareness of and capacity to treat trauma and attachment Internationally.
Vision: Providing quality trainings to meet needs of organizations, communities, and professionals to create trauma-informed communities to meet the needs of all individuals with trauma-specific and trauma-specialized therapy to help heal life's hurts.
Mission: Healing life’s hurts through awareness, compassion, and self-care.
Trauma focused counselling has begun to receive more attention recently and is expanding rapidly in the United States and other areas of the world based on current research. Lori anticipates we will see this growth in Canada shortly as well and intends to be at the forefront of this social change process.
ATTCH is so honoured to have been invited as a member of the Complex Trauma Treatment Affiliates program. This is a fabulous network of highly skilled trauma specific therapists. It is so nice to network and consult with others. As a therapist in private practice typically training and supervising others this has been a rich resource for collaborating and further broadening knowledge and skills. Check out their website (link below) for further details. “The Complex Trauma Treatment Affiliates are an independent network of senior complex trauma therapists and clinical supervisors. The Complex Trauma Treatment Affiliates program is not a comprehensive registry of trauma therapists. CTTA membership is restricted to a carefully selected group of not more than two dozen psychotherapists across the United States and Canada.” https://www.ctttn.org/treatment-centers-affiliates/complex-trauma-treatment-affiliates/#complextraumatreatmentaffiliate#CTTA#complextrauma#complextraumarecovery#complextraumaawareness#CPTSD#ITATM#ATTCH
